Could be because couldn't find my new scale had to use my old one. Oh well I think 25 is fair because he was a tad wet. I did shake him out real good before i weighed him though. If you look real close on the pic there is a another coil of metal above the shiny one that is on 25.

I've been really busy and couldn't make it out for any of Iowa's earlier seasons but am now ready to rock.
It just might be in snow camo
At least my dad has the birds patterened so I know where the big ones have been going.

Well.... Sorry guys, I got skunked this year. Unlike last year is was not for lack of chances to hunt, just bad weather and uncooperative birds.

But I am learning more of the "lay of the land" on this 10,000 acres I am roaming and will be even better prepared to fill both tags next year. I am going to be doin much more exploring this summer, fall, and winter.

I think I will come down next year and hunt with you If the offer still stands. Sounds like there were plenty of birds. I only worked one other bird then the one I shot and someone else shot at it before it got to me. The guy down the road has shot the craps to my spot that was always good in years past . Going to be looking hard for more spots between now and next season.

I ended up sleeping a little late this morning and got in just as the birds were coming off the roost, I did manage to call in two hens but none of the big boys wanted to come play a game of catch the shiny pellets from the 10. The birds just arn't really talking right now, hopefully I can manage to get out after school sometime this week, but I just ruined the tranny in my truck, so I could have some troubles getting out there.
