Covering ground?

Postby cut_un » Tue Jan 15, 2013 12:23 pm

As a rule, we turkey hunters are always on the move..... What kind of boots are you guys wearing??? Know ,some have to consider ol no shoulders so snake boots are a must. Myself,water/mud is more of an issue so I simply wear Rubber,18" boots.La Cross, grange to be exact.... How about you??

i hunt rugged terrain and might go two miles just to find a turkey. so i rely on a quality but light weight hiking shoe.
lord knows we dont deserve it. but he gives it to us anyway, every spring.

I bet..... most of my hunting is more sitting than walkin these days, may walk thru mud or a small creek to get to a bird....Can see why a good broken in pair hiking boot is a must

I run 3 pairs off and on.. Thinking about adding a pair of camo crocs this year.. Nothing is as quiet as crocs and if your feet get wet they dry instantly.

Drake Mudder Knee High rubber Neo- I where these when there is dew in the early morning to keep my feet and my pants dry.. Pretty comfortable..

Danner Vanish 6 inch Gore Tex Hiker- Awesome, waterproof sneaker more or less, light and danner comfortable..

Danner Pronhorn GTX snake boot- The most comfortable boot I own.. Most snake boots are uncomfortable but these things are awesome..
"Guys today don't know what real turkey hunting is. They don't really carry on a conversation with the turkeys. They just sit in a blind and wait for the birds to come to them. It's a shame."- Denny Gulvas
