How often to call in each season?

I have watched several videos on how to master calling. I'm no pro, but I sure drive my wife nuts a few times a week practicing. One thing I haven't came across in a definitive way is the frequency of calling. In the fall I've heard it's hard to over-call, I've also heard you shouldn't call at all. But in spring I'm kind of clueless. This is my first time really turkey hunting and. Not sure when or how often to call and when I should stop calling for not seasons.
