May be time for a little up-grade

Postby cut_un » Tue Mar 12, 2013 9:53 am

With the exception of my purchaseof a "Thunder Chicken" las year, been running the same hen decoys for years now. One "upright hen" and a feeder. I bet they are 10-12 years old. Still in good shape but...... taking a good look at them, now realize how better the decoys are looking these days. Maybe it's time to retire those ol things and and move to some of the more realistic hen decoy...... They are looking more like the real thing everyday.

So what'd get??? Stopped by Dicks on the way home from a Dr. appointment. Was not impressed with any of the hen decoys. The AvianX looked pretty good but boy, was it heavy. The rest.... no better than what I already have.

If you are looking for a strutter my buddy will be a debuting a new strutter for next year, the RCD Badonka-deke.. He has found a way to match realism with Zink Avian X etc while keeping cost and weight low.. I hopefully will make the cut to staff for him.. If you and your decoys can wait a year, I would. Its gonna be great.

I picked up some cherokee sports inflatables last year. Very realistic looking with the solid heads. Hoping they bring some luck this season!

What would really be cool is to get some pics of turkeys coming into that thing.
