Multiple spurs on birds

Postby DoubleBullKilla » Wed May 16, 2012 11:21 am

Has anyone seen a gobbler with multiple spurs? I shot a gobbler in 2006 that had 4 spurs. On each leg it had a 1 inch spur and a 1/2 inch spur below it. I thought the spurs were split in half, but they were all seperate. Just curious if anyone else has seen this before.

Had a fella check a bird in at the store that had double spurs and 6 beards, currently has the state archery turkey record. Also had a friend the year before, kill a turkey at the "Governors On Shot Turkey Hunt" that had double spurs. One set was 1 1/4" and the other was 1/2" or so.
